Wood Fired Ceramics

I create functional ceramics with the intention of invoking insightful moments for conceptual enrichment. The surface variations produced by the wood kiln’s fire showcase a beautiful history of intensive manual labor. This hidden narrative of passion and dedication inspires the creation of my work. My ceramic pieces are designed to rebalance and soothe the anxious mind, to remember modesty and contentment.

This collection of stoneware ceramics was fired for two days in a wood soda kiln at Bobtown Arts in Berea, Kentucky. Dipped in shino glaze.
