Welcome to this exciting pottery class where families can come together and make their own unique mugs! This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones while exploring your creative side and learning a new skill.
As your instructor, I will guide you through the process of creating your very own mug from a ball of clay. At the end of the class, you'll have a beautiful and functional mug to take home with you. This class is perfect for all ages and skill levels, so whether you're a seasoned potter or a complete beginner, you're welcome to attend!
Receive step-by-step instructions on how to use the pinching method to create a functional pinch pot mug. This class involves shaping your mug shape, making and attaching handles, and decorating your piece. Workshop participants will make one mug that will be finished with glaze. After your class, I will dry, bisque fire, and glaze your mug in white glaze. Once your piece is ready for pick-up, you'll be notified by email - typically in 3-4 weeks. All materials are included.
- Clay washes out of your clothes but wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little messy.
- Please trim your fingernails before class. Uncut nails will make the entire process of shaping your pieces difficult.
